Swim Stronger - Improve your front crawl (freestyle) arms with a pull buoy and these drills

In this video, Adam discusses pull buoys and their use and demonstrates some drills you can practice with a pull buoy to improve your front crawl (freestyle) swimming technique. With four drills, from medium to advanced level, this video is for swimmers looking to work some drills into their swim workouts. Pull buoys are a great way to isolate the arms and focus on the 4 parts of the front crawl stroke: entry, catch, pull and recovery. Adam discusses the high elbow technique and demonstrates a drill to improve its effectiveness. The kinetic chain is broken with a pull buoy, so Adam speaks about over-training and things to watch out for when using a pull buoy or incorporating it into your swim kit. We hope this video is informative and helps you on your swimming journey. Swimming Basics - Head vs body position... Stop your legs from sinking with this 1 simple tip!

This video was a question from a viewer that we decided to make into a video. The question was: "How do I get my legs to stop sinking?" - in this video, Adam demonstrates just how much of an effect your head position can have on your body position. Even the slightest head raise can cause your legs to sink. This will increase drag on your body through the water and affect your ability to float across the top. Swimming Basics - Front crawl how to breathe to the side (freestyle)

Have you ever wondered why swimmers breathe to the side when swimming front crawl (freestyle)? In this video, Adam explains why we want to breathe to the side to help our body position, reduce water resistance, and speed up our swimming. Breathing to the side will help you swim for longer as it is more efficient and causes less strain on your body during your swimming workout. Adam also talks about the difference in breathing every 2 or 3 strokes and which could work best for you. Or why you might want to do one or the other in certain scenarios, for example, sighting when outdoor swimming (open water) or swimming in a pool for exercise.
